Chinas Anhui Province Set the Annual Cotton Output Growth Target

The agricultural department of China´s Anhui province recently issued the 12th Five-Year Plan setting the annual cotton output growth target for the next five years. According to the plan, the output capacity will strive to achieve 370,000 tons by 2015 from the 316,000 tons in 2010 with an annual growth rate at 3.2 percent. 31 highlighted cotton plantation areas will be especially encouraged.
