Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province recently announced its goal to cut down COD, SO2 emission 3.5% and 2% respectively this year from 2009. As a result, it decided to suspend the new dyeing & printing program in this area.

The emission reducing is key issue for industry upgrading. Shaoxing has been making efforts to encourage high-tech, high added value, low energy consumption and low emission projects into this area. It led 32 enterprises to conduct clean production and recycle economy program.
