The Lahore Garment City is a major project of the Ministry of Textile Industry, Government of Pakistan. Under the Trade Policy of 2003, it was envisaged that three Garment Cities would be established at Lahore, Karachi and Faisalabad to develop state of the art facilities for garment manufacturers.
Garment cities are clusters of sewing and stitching units grouped together to produce specialized garments for export and provide an opportunity to small and medium entrepreneurs to develop value-added clothing and accessories.
