China to impose dumping tax on polyamide chip imports

The Ministry of Commerce says it will impose an dumping tax on certain imported polyamide chips effective immediately.

The measure targets Polyamide-6,6 chips, a material used in the manufacture of plastics and textiles, imported from the US, Italy, Britain and France. The product from Taiwan is also among the Mainland's list.

The ministry says the period will be five years, and the tax rates range from 5.3 to 37.5 percent.
